Devotion

Today is Wednesday, Aug 1, 2012

Good morning friends.  Hope ya'll are planning on a great day.  The weather is wonderful.  It is not supposed to get too hot this week and, boy, did we need the rain.  At least we did here on 701S in Conway, SC.  It's rained very hard at times, thunder roared and the sky lit up with bright streaks of lightning.  It can be so beautiful.  It's all God's handi-work!!

Our Devotion For Today:

Do you ever dwell on the promises of God?  In Romans 8:38-39, the word of God tells us "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any power, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord".  Nothing can separate you from the love of Jesus.  Let this promise trickle throughout your inner-most being.  Let it saturate your heart, soul, and mind.  Nobody can love you like Jesus does.  It is true love, unconditional love!

Whenever you start to feel nervous or fearful, think on this unconditional promise.  Say "nothing can separate me from your love, Jesus".  Many times I just like to call His name and say Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.  He always hears us and always is near us.  He's never too busy for us.  God will never leave or forsake us.  Look up another promise in Joshua 1:5.  Then in Isaiah 49:15-16; "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne?  Though she may forget, I will not forget you!  See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands; your walls are ever before me".
Trust always in God.  You're always on His mind.

Looking through the eyes of Jesus,
                                                                                                                                Ms. June

                                                      Thought For This Week
Do not complain!  Instead, try and find all the ways to thank God for the blessings He has given you!!!  Have fun.

  1. I see I'm on your prayer list! I have recommitted myself to Jesus Christ as you know however, I am a masterpiece in the making. It's been so very long since I veered off the path so Jesus is taking his time with me. I Thank the Lord each and everyday for being patient with me and always loving me even when I didn't love myself. I had alot of hatred in my heart but that is slowly withering down. I am learning alot from the sermons at church each week, things about myself and about life. I am greatful for that. Jesus is in my heart and my mind, I hear him everyday. When I'm getting ready to make a bad decision or say something I shouldn't, he redirects my thoughts. This is a big mess Jesus is cleaning up so it takes time! LOL
